What caused you to join APMM?
I have been working for several years in the public sector, both as investment consultant in China and as procurement officer in the United Nations in Denmark. I applied for a position as category manager in Maersk Procurement because of its attractive international working environment and its sourcing expertise I have heard of.

What is your job about?
I am working in the Category Management section where we category managers are assigned to specific categories. Our responsibilities includes aspects such as managing/implementing frame agreements Group wide, maintaining good supplier relationship in the category, initiating and facilitating projects related to the category.

What are you working with at the moment?
Currently I am in the category of Ship Engines. Supplier relationship management is of high priority in this category with regards to the ever increasing demand in the world ship engine market. To improve the solution for maintenance, including spare parts and service is also an important task in this category.

What do you particularly value about your work?
As a category manager, I have the chance to gain a deep insight into the category, both in terms commercial and technical aspects. Since we will focus in categories, we also have the opportunities to develop a true long term relationship with our strategic suppliers. I also enjoy the cross-functional work across the A.P. Moller - Maersk Group, which will lead to a deep and sound relationship with our key internal stake holders in this category over time.

How has your career at APMM progressed?
With experience in the various aspects in category management and the training program, including Advanced Procurement, Contract Management, Negotiation Skills etc. in the past year, I can see that my career has concretely progressed and I am much more confident to create more value for our company.

Overall, what is it like to be a part of APMM?
In my daily work, it is always fun and exciting to meet up with colleagues to share and discuss new ideas and with key suppliers to foster a real long term relationship. Overall speaking, I feel very proud to be a part of APMM, a true global industry leader.
